Gledhow Valley Allotments

Gledhow Valley Allotments are the largest site in Leeds and have been in existence since the 1st World War.

The site is autonomous but is owned by Leeds City Council to whom we pay rent.

The constitution of the association can be found here

Gledhow Valley Allotments are located between Harrogate Road and Gledhow Valley Road in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

There are 129 plots on the site some of which are half or even quarter plots due to changing demographics.  Once you have the allotmenting bug and feel the benefits at half the price of a gym membership and taste your own personally grown veg,  you can always put your name down for an larger plot if you outgrow your plot.

There are 164 plot holders with a current waiting list of 50, with 18 new plot holders since January 2007, 10 of which joining us this month alone (approximate waiting time currently 18months).

Last year we had 15 new allotment tenants.
