Reporting Vandalism

We strongly encourage members to report vandalism or other criminal activivty on site to the police.  This is because the police log all incidents and direct resources to where they perceive the greatest need is.  Obviously if they have numerous reports from plot holders this will increase our chances of more police help.  If we do nothing we cannot expect the police to do much either.  If you do not want to report anything yourself please ask a committee member.

Telephone number for police:   0113-2413310 - Neighbourhood Police

0845 - 6060606 - Non emergency incidents

 Show Secretary

Following the 2009 AGM we are still without a Show Secretary.  The shows are an essential part of our association's life and advertise our presence to the local community.  If you fancy yourself as Show Secretary or know someone who does please contact one of the committee.  You will be given full support from other committee members and helpers on the day.

Paths

We are in the process of improving and defining some footpaths across the site.  You may find white posts and rope being put up this is to guide those who will be doing the improvement work.  Please leave these in situ, do not remove them.

Grant

We have managed to procure a substantial grant to help us repair and maintain the main track, footpaths, car-park and upgrade and improve the DC (Distribution Centre). Many thanks to Jenny for all her hard work.

Shredder

The shredder is now in action.  Please leave any twigs etc. up to 2 inches diameter near the central car park or see David on plot 48.  For health and safety reasons the shredder is not to be lent out, only David and Dennis are authorised to use it.  The shredded twigs will be left in a pile near the car park for general use in a similar manner to the wood chippings.
