Welcome
to the website for Chapel Allerton Allotments and Gardens Association (CAAGA).
We were established in 1917 and have been a feature of the Chapel
Allerton community for many years.
Our
Aims:
The
aim of our Association is to promote an interest in gardening and horticulture,
through encouraging our members to share advice and practical help, and
providing opportunities for spreading a wider understanding of the social and
health benefits of gardening.
Who
we are :
CAAGA
has around 380 members from all parts of the community and from all walks of
life. All plotholders of our sister
organisation The Gledhow Valley Allotmentsare also members of CAAGA, but membership of CAAGA is
open to anyone with an interest in gardening, and many of our members do their
gardening at home.
The
Association is a non-profit making organisation and is run on behalf of the
members by a committee of elected officers and members in accordance with our
constitution CAAGA Constitution.
What
we do:
CAAGA’s
key activities are running the Distribution Centreon the Northbrook Street site, arranging an annual programme
of shows and visits, and providing social activities for members.

2008
Membership
For
the 2008/2009 year CAAGA charges an annual membership fee of £3.50 for new
members and £2.50 for renewals. Members
are then able to participate in any of the social events, and also to take
advantage of the wide range of discounted gardening products available for sale
to members at the Distribution Centre.
